Acupuncture in Downtown Miami
Enhance Chiropractic Care with Acupuncture
Adding acupuncture to your chiropractic treatment in our Downtown Miami office is a proven way to achieve faster pain relief and support optimal health. Acupuncture has been practiced in China for 3,000–6,000 years and was introduced by the legendary Yellow Emperor.
Acupuncture is based on a network of energy lines (meridians) in the body, which modern science has studied and verified. These meridians correspond to specific organs, emotions, and diseases. Detecting and correcting imbalances along these pathways can improve your health, vitality, and stress levels.
There are over 1,000 acupoints throughout the body. Traditionally, painless needles are used, but acupuncture points can also be stimulated with magnets, lasers, or electro-stimulation — all safe and highly effective methods.
What is EMI?
In 1950, Japanese doctor Yoshio Nakatani began measuring the electrical conductivity of the skin in patients with kidney disease. He discovered patterns of increased resistance that corresponded to kidney meridians in Chinese acupuncture.
He expanded his research to patients with other organ-related diseases, mapping and labeling patterns that matched the Chinese acupuncture system. Based on these findings, he began treating patients and achieved results so impressive that practitioners from around the world came to observe his system.
Dr. Nakatani’s work led to the development of Ryodoraku acupuncture — meaning “good line.” While traditional Masters of Oriental Medicine spend decades training and up to an hour to make a diagnosis, Ryodoraku allows an accurate assessment in just a few minutes, with results comparable to the most experienced Chinese medicine practitioners.
