<p> HOW FUNCTIONAL MEDICINE CAN REDUCE YOUR HEALTH RISK FROM COVID-19!<br /> The bottom line is health experts expect that 60% of us will become infected with Covid-19 over the next 2 years. Many people will get it before there is a Vaccine. At the present time our most promising drug shortens our time in the hospital from 15 to 11 days, without reducing the death rate.  </p>
<p>The most deadly flues H1N1, the flu of 1918, swine flu as well as many other deadly viruses have been genetically re-engineered and given to mice, other animals thousands of times so scientists could study these viruses to find out what makes them so fatal and what works to destroy them. Many of these studies have also been done on humans. Unlike drugs that have to be designed for specific illnesses. Most herbs and supplements that impact one type of influenza virus will impact all.  Many viruses we have treated before are similar to C-19.  We have studied corona viruses before too, 18-25% of the colds and flues we have had before were from corona viruses.  Here are some exerts for these studies you will find helpful.</p>
<p>For example, in a Double Blind, controlled trial<strong> Zinc</strong> Supplementation of 10 mg/d reduced the incidence of lower respiratory infection in infants and preschool children by 45%(1)</p>
<p>“<strong>Vitamin A</strong> contributes to preservation of airway function during and in recovery after upper respiratory infection in children. “ (2)</p>
<p><strong>Vitamin D</strong> is so powerful that “each 10 n/ML increase in 25(OH)D was associated in a 7% reduction in the risk of infection.” (3) This is a very small dose, we usually recommend 5,000 mg for prevention of viral infections.</p>
<p>“The trace element <strong>Selenium</strong> stands out as probably the most important factor when you have to survive and recover from infection with HIN1.<br /> In one study those with higher levels of selenium recovered in less than half the time of people with lower selenium levels. (4)</p>
<p><strong>Whey protein</strong> has been shown to have inhibit every respiratory virus that we tested. (5)<br /> “Testing clearly shows that curcumin interrupts virus cell attachment, which leads to inhibition of influenza virus propagation”</p>
<p><strong>Curcumin</strong><span style="font-size: 16px;"><strong>oids</strong> (found in tumeric) showed significant effect against H1N1 Virus (6)</span></p>
<p>In one controlled study, such a lethal influenza virus was given to mice that It killed 100% of the control group. However, 60% of the mice given <strong>Resveratrol</strong> survived. The resveratrol group were also sick for a shorter period of time, and had fewer symptoms. (7) This shows that resveratrol can substantially increase the survival rate from even the most lethal virus.</p>
<p>In one study, the control group of mice were infected with an even more lethal deadly influenza virus that killed 100% of the control group within 11 days. At the same time, the group given a <strong>Licorice</strong> derivative all survived past 15 days and were considered recovered. (8)</p>
<p>In a controlled study on seniors involving <strong>N acyl-Cystine</strong> found only 25% of the NAC group developed the symptomatic form of an influenza virus while 79% of the placebo group developed symptoms. (9)</p>
<p>In one small study on senior Covid-19 infected patients in China found that the 30 day survival rate in patients taking <strong>Alpha lipoic acid</strong> was 77.9% and in the placebo group the survival rate was 37% ( 3 out of 8) the placebo group. The 30-day all-cause mortality was numerically lower in the ALA group than in the placebo group. (10)</p>
<p>A <strong>probiotic</strong> combination in one study provided a test group with 73% reduction in incidence of fever – shortened length of illness and reduced symptoms. (11)</p>
<p>Another set of mice were given such a lethal influenza that 100% of the controls died, however the group taking the <strong>Beta Glucan</strong> (comes from mushrooms) survived at a rate of 60%. (12)</p>
<p>The above is a short list.  Covid-19 isn&#8217;t killing 100% of the people that get infected.   It is killing 1-3%, I studied probability theory.  I got an A.  The chances of your dying if you are taking a combination of these supplements are probably much lower than if you got a corona virus vaccine right now.  The chances of a vaccine being developed according to most scientific journals are slim.    Check out Dr. Vazquez protocol for combating Covid-19.  As far as I know he is the worlds leading expert on anti-viral strategies using functional medicine.  All our formulas have been developed through decades of clinical research and the experience of professional clinical Virologists. Some of them are variations of traditional Ayuvedic and Traditional Chinese medicinal formulas that have been used to treat illness similar viruses for millennia.</p>

				<div class="et_pb_text_inner"><p><span style="font-size: large;"><strong>WHAT WE LEARNED BY GENETICALLY RE-ENGINEERING THE FLU OF 1918! – Warning for people of Color!</strong></span></p>
<p><span style="font-size: large;"><span style="background-color: #ffffff;">A</span><span style="background-color: #ffffff;"> 2014 </span>study in Scientific American found Black Americans had just 3 % of the required Vitamin D levels for normal body function and whites 23 percent(1). Mathematically this correlates to the seven times the death rate from Covid-19 in blacks.  The body takes sunlight and converts it to vitamin D in the skin, liver and various other cells in the body. In follow up studies, they found that darker skin may retard the conversion of sunlight to vitamin D (1). Many people who spend a lot of time in the sun and have darker skin are shocked to find out that they have very low levels of vitamin D.</span></p>
<p><strong>The deadly H1N1 and the 1918 flu were genetically re-engineered to find out just why they were such deadly killers. Scientists found three important mechanisms of death, all caused by Vitamin D deficiency.</strong></p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-large;"> <strong>First Vitamin D stops inflammation</strong></span>. Part of the immune system’s normal response to dangerous pathogens is to produce large amounts of cytokines. Though, cytokines are part of a normal immune response, in the event of a severe attack the response becomes overwhelming and inflammation goes out of control. It is this disorganized response that destroys the cells, especially in the lungs resulting in difficulty breathing and death. According to National Institutes of Health, cytokines were significantly higher in those with a fatal outcome” (2). Covid19 also kills the same way.</p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-large;"><strong> Secondly, without Vitamin D immune cells do not mature.</strong></span> Immune cells are supposed to mature and develop specific antigens to kill specific viruses. If you are out to fight the biggest enemy your immune system will face in a lifetime wouldn’t you want your entire army? Would you show up with 3% of your most inexperienced troops?</p>
<p><span style="font-size: x-large;"><strong> Most importantly Vitamin D stimulates your body to make lots of its own natural antiviral substances,</strong></span> known as antimicrobial peptides. Vitamin D stimulates the epithelial cells in places like the lung to make important anti-viral substances like Hydrogen Peroxide. Our own natural Antiviral substances have no side effects. Lots of people are dying because 3% of what is needed is not cutting it. If you stay in all summer and don’t take Vitamin D, fall could be even more deadly.</p>
<p>According to the National Institute of Health’s own website. <span style="font-size: x-large;"><strong>Vitamin D is so powerful that “each 10 n/ML increase in 25(OH)D was associated in a 7% reduction in the risk of infection.” </strong></span>What would happen if you took 100 n/ML? Does that mean that you would achieve a 70% reduction of your risk of infection? (3)</p>
<p>Health experts expect the re-occurrence of Covid-19 in the fall. That is to be expected if we continue to stay doors through the summer causing Vitamin D levels to drop further. We may have a more malnourished population, with more people reduced to eating noodles due to financial hardship. Reduced sunlight is of course a major reason for the increase in influenza cases(5). I am not sure of the science of staying in without being advised to take vitamin D is? This is contrary to the influenza studies published on NIH&#8217;s own website. We need sunlight to live.</p>
<p><span style="font-size: large;"><strong>How Much Vitamin D Should you take?</strong></span><br /> “Vitamin D supplementation should stabilize 25(OH)D concentrations consistent with levels obtained by natural summertime sun exposure (50 ng/ml) while avoiding toxic levels. <span style="font-size: x-large;">Those with large amounts of melanin in their skin, the obese, those who avoid the sun, and the aged may need up to 5000 IU/day to obtain such levels, especially in the winter.”</span> -https://www.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/pmc/articles/PMC2870528/</p>
<p>Many people could need much more, I came across a weight loss protocol used by a Naturopathic Physician in Northern England who found she could not get her patients to lose weight until they have taken 5,000 IU/day. Some darker-skinned people could need even more.
